Last updated: March 2026

1. Scope

This privacy policy informs you about the nature, scope and purpose of the processing of personal data by the responsible provider:

Anime Kultur e.V.
Wattstr. 59
12459 Berlin
Phone: info@animekultur.de
+49 (0)30 530 27 210

The legal basis for data protection is found in particular in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

2. Access data / Server log files

Each time our website is accessed, data is automatically collected in server log files. This access data includes:

  • Name of the accessed webpage or file
  • Date and time of access
  • Amount of data transferred
  • Notification of successful retrieval
  • Browser type and version
  • User's operating system
  • Referrer URL (previously visited page)
  • IP address and requesting provider

This data is used exclusively for the secure operation and optimisation of the service (legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). It is not merged with other data sources. In the event of concrete suspicion of unlawful use, we reserve the right to review the data retrospectively.

3. Use of the web radio

Anime Kultur e.V. operates a non-commercial web radio for the general public. When the livestream is played, a connection is established to our streaming server. Your IP address is transmitted to the server – this is technically necessary to provide the stream.

We are obliged to keep user statistics for the rights holders of the music played. This records how long an IP address has had the web radio switched on and which music tracks were played during that time. We must transmit this data on request to the Gesellschaft zur Verwertung von Leistungsschutzrechten mbH (GVL) and the Gesellschaft für musikalische Aufführungs- und mechanische Vervielfältigungsrechte (GEMA).

Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR (legal obligation) and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in providing the radio stream).

4. Handling of personal data

Personal data is information that can be used to identify a person – i.e. details that can be traced back to a person (e.g. name, e-mail address, telephone number).

We only collect, use and pass on personal data if this is permitted by law or if users consent to the collection of data.

5. Contact

When you contact us (e.g. by e-mail), the user's details are stored for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event that follow-up questions arise, in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR.

6. Integration of third-party services and content

Third-party content may be integrated within our online service (e.g. embedded videos or fonts). This requires the respective providers to be aware of the user's IP address, as without the IP address it would not be possible to deliver the content to the browser.

We endeavour to only use content from providers who use the IP address solely for delivery purposes. However, we have no influence on whether third-party providers store the IP address for statistical purposes, for example.

7. External links & social media

Our website contains links to external services (Discord, Instagram, Facebook, X, Twitch, YouTube). Clicking on these links will redirect you to the respective platforms. Data can only be transmitted to the respective provider after the redirect. We have no influence over the data processing carried out by these third-party providers. Please refer to the privacy policies of the respective providers for more information.

8. Affiliate links (Amazon Partner Programme)

This website participates in the Amazon EU Partner Programme. Affiliate links to Amazon.de may be used on our pages. If you make a purchase via such a link, we receive a small commission – at no additional cost to you.

Amazon sets its own cookies when the link is clicked. Further information can be found in the Amazon Privacy Policy.

9. Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device. They serve to improve user-friendliness (e.g. saving settings) and for the statistical recording of website usage.

You can restrict or prevent the storage of cookies in your browser. Please note that this may restrict your use of the website.

Technically necessary cookies are set on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. All other cookies are only used with your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.

10. Your rights

You have the following rights at any time:

  • Access to your data stored with us (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Rectification of incorrect data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)

Please contact us at: info@animekultur.de

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your data violates the GDPR (Art. 77 GDPR).

This privacy policy is currently valid (as of March 2026). It may be necessary to amend this privacy policy due to the further development of our website or changes in legal or regulatory requirements. The current version can be accessed on this page at any time.
